The Austrian-Romanian pianist MARIA RADUTU crosses borders. She combines classical music with modern art and finds her inspiration in working with artists from other disciplines. “There is no filter between what she is feeling and what she is trying to convey to the audience. It shows these inner feelings that people don't get on stage so quickly. "(Donato Cabrera - conductor)

Her solo career brought her to Europe, Asia and the USA in concert halls such as Carnegie Hall, the Golden Hall of the Wiener Musikverein, the Great Hall of the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Vienna State Opera, the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, the Salle Gaveau in Paris, the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, the Sala Radio in Bucharest, the Smith Center in Las Vegas, the National Concert Hall in Taipei and the Prince Mahidol Hall in Bangkok.

Maria Radutu has played as a soloist with well-known orchestras, including the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Vienna State Opera Orchestra, the Orquesta Clasica Santa Cecilia, the Cottbus Philharmonic Orchestra, the California Symphony and the Las Vegas Philharmonic.

Her new recital and album PHOENIX was published in MuTh in October 2020 together with the vernissage “Pictures of an album” by Felicia Gulda. PHOENIX is the transformation of a young, passionate and unbridled soul through breakout and loss to maturity and sovereignty, into a new musical world of expression. Her previous album INSOMNIA was released by DECCA RECORDS accompanied by music videos and was rated as a "first-rate listening experience" (Die Presse). She recently recorded the upcoming album with Shostakovich 1st Piano Concerto and Jolivet Concertino with the RSO Vienna, Dirk Kaftan and Selina Ott.

PIANO & DANCE, their program with Eno Peçi, solo dancer and choreographer of the Vienna State Opera, allows music and modern dance to merge at eye level. The show premiered in the MuTh concert hall of the Vienna Boys' Choir and was then programmed in Romania, Albania and Austria. Due to the Covid 19 crisis, these dates have been postponed.

The Bucharest-born pianist was considered a child prodigy in the 1990s and has won over twenty national and international awards. After completing her concert diploma at the Music University, Radutu worked as artistic director of the Philklang ensemble and its Soundgarden chamber music festival.
