„My life in three words? Love, dream and music" – Emmanuel Tjeknavorian For EMMANUEL TJEKNAVORIAN, this interview statement is not just an empty phrase. Just 29 years old, he has already fulfilled many dreams. First as a soloist on the violin, where he has already played with all the major symphony orchestras. But for the past two years, he has mainly been on the road as a conductor. From the fall, he will even be the new head of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano. Nota bene the orchestra that grew up under Riccardo Chailly. Prior Emmanuel Tjeknavorian can already be heard in Andermatt. He conducts the LUCERNE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA at the Swiss Alps Classics.
An exciting affair: On the one hand, the rising star conductor and on the other, the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, which has played its way into the European top league in recent years. For the concert in Andermatt, he has brought along Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's Italian Symphony. The first movement with its sparkling freshness or the solemn Andante – it will be interesting to see how the shooting star shapes these contrasts. Tickets and all information can be found at Swiss Alps Classics.
Anastasia Kobekina: The masterpiece on the master cello
But Saturday's concert will offer even more firework moments. For example, the Rococo Variations by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, probably the most sparkling cello concerto of all. And if there is one musician who has something to say about this work, it is ANASTASIA KOBEKINA. After all, it was her who won first place at the Hamburg Tonali Competition with this piece and the special „Giovanni Battista Guadagnini" prize – a 270-year-old instrument on loan from the workshop of the famous violin maker. As a special icing on the cake, she will play the highly virtuoso „Passacaglia" by Norwegian composer Johan Halvorsen together with violinist ELDBJØRG HEMSING – the soloist at Friday evening's concert.
