The countdown is on – in just one week, the summer’s festival highlight begins: the 9th Swiss Alps Classics, taking place from July 4 to 6, 2025, in Andermatt. Music lovers can look forward to two days of unforgettable musical moments – featuring a stunning mix of world-class orchestral music and exceptional young talent. The concerts are held in collaboration with Andermatt Music.

Highlight: Filarmonica della Scala Performs in Andermatt for the First Time
On Sunday, July 6 at 5:00 p.m., the renowned Milan-based orchestra Filarmonica della Scala will make its Andermatt debut in the stunning Andermatt Concert Hall. Founded in 1982 by Claudio Abbado, the orchestra is considered one of Europe’s leading symphony ensembles, celebrated for its stylistic versatility and highest artistic standards.

At the podium will be none other than Julian Rachlin, internationally acclaimed violinist and conductor, known for his electrifying interpretations and profound musical expression. In Andermatt, he will conduct works by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Ludwig van Beethoven, whose emotional depth and structural elegance promise to deeply move the audience.

Rising Stars of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation
On Saturday, July 5, the spotlight will shine on young talent: two outstanding pianists from the Lang Lang International Music Foundation, Aidan Siqi Zhao and Deva Mira Sperandio, will give a recital that impresses not only with technical brilliance but also with remarkable maturity and expressive depth.

Aidan Siqi Zhao captivates with his profound musical sensitivity and international competition successes. Deva Mira Sperandio enchants with her exceptional ear for tone and musical curiosity. Both are “Young Scholars” of the foundation established by superstar pianist Lang Lang, which supports young talent worldwide and offers them access to international stages.
